In 2013 a unified Management Information System was introduced at the twenty most prominent members of the MVM group, thereby dramatically increasing the efficiency of business processes.

The project fulfilled the highest quality criteria, meriting the gold prize of the prestigious SAP Quality Awards. The chief contractor on the project was Fornax SI Kft. supported by SAP Hungary Kft.

MVM successfully renewed its Management Information System with the introduction of SAP ERP 6.0. The new management model integrates the 20 most important member companies into a single, harmonized system, raising clarity and efficiency to a new level. The project merited the gold prize of the internationally acclaimed SAP Quality Awards in the category of large scale project in the Central-Eastern-European region. The award acknowledges the SAP projects meeting the highest quality criteria in Europe, Africa and the Middle-East.

The project that created operational conditions for MVM similar to those of world leading companies was executed by the experts of Hungarian owned FORNAX, who were supported by SAP Hungary Kft.

As a result of the project lasting a little over a year and a half, 1500 employees of 20 companies of the MVM group can now work in an SAP environment. Procurement is now supported by the new, catalogue-based electronic procurement solution for most of MVM’s business areas. Besides the maintenance of base data, the efficiency of work flows is aided by features such as invoice approval, mixed system of accounting, billing and the partial automation of wire transfers.

The system introduced by FORNAX and SAP ensures the execution of financial and logistic transactions and provides full scale administration according to requirements and expectations. Furthermore a worksheet for executives was created containing the most important indicators of the company group, thereby ensuring the total transparency within the organization.
